At Periodic Heroes this week we're doing characters from Robert Atkin's

new creator owned book (with writer Quinn Johnson) called "Elders of the Runestone."

It's a great book that they've been working on for years. They just started their Kickstarter Campaign and would love your donations, if you feel so inclined. They've got some great incentives lined up for those who donate.

This is one of the villains of the story - Smiley - and with an awesome design like that, how could you not love this!?

man the only thing I would try to do is after you're done with this going in with tech pens or nibs and add more sharp details. are you just using brush for the line work?

Yeah, brush or brush pens. But that's a good idea to go back in. I have here and there before, but I might should do it more. I'm doing a few issues of a series like this right now, so I'll be playing with what works and what doesn't.
